At Smith Funeral Home, we have provided
funeral and
cremation services to families in Flatonia, Texas, since 1950. Since then, we have grown to serve the communities of Fayette County, which include the Flatonia, Cistern, Waelder, Elm Grove, Muldoon and Praha areas.
LET'S CELEBRATE LIFE
Our main goal at Smith Funeral Home is to create meaningful and memorable memorials for the families we serve. Whether you prefer a
traditional funeral service with a coffee-and-cake reception, an intimate gathering with close family and friends or an imaginative celebration of life with themed decor, live music, a catered dinner and a send-off family and friends won't soon forget, you can count on us to honor your needs and wishes.
PROFESSIONAL FUNERAL PLANNING
Our expert team is committed to helping you with the step-by-step
funeral planning process. We encourage you to make
final arrangements in advance. By planning ahead of time, you can help ease your family's burden of making difficult decisions in a time of loss and you'll have the peace of mind that your wishes will be honored.

HISTORY
Carl Smith bought Smith Funeral home in 1950 and ran it until the 1970s. In the mid-70s Leslie and Dolores Grieve took over and built a new funeral home. In 1989, our funeral home was purchased by Robert G. Duncan from Victoria and eventually joined the Dignity Memorial® network.
