Ernest C. Ramirez

Ernest C. Ramirez, age 85 passed away Friday, January 26, 2024.  He was born April 17, 1938 to Geronima Castillo and Gabriel Ramirez in Waelder, TX.   

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Ernest Ramirez, Jr, and five brothers.

He is survived by his wife Elida Ramirez, two stepsons; Joseph Manzanales of Houston, TX, and Guadalupe Manzanales (Faith) of Needville, TX,  one daughter; Diane Moreno (Eric) of Houston, TX, two Stepdaughters; Christine Manzanales, and Monica Manzanales of Houston, TX, three brothers; Felix Ramirez of Waelder, TX, Gabriel Ramirez, Jr. of Moulton, TX, Matias Ramirez of Houston, TX, five sisters; Isabel Ramirez of San Antonio, TX, Cleo Nieto of Moulton, TX, Beatrice Gonzalez of San Antonio, TX, Gumicenda Martinez of San Antonio, TX and Guadalupe Delgado of Houston, TX, twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Smith Funeral Home Chapel, 128 East 5^th Street in Flatonia, TX.      

Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic cemetery in Flatonia, TX.
