Fred was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Fred and Lucille Mace, on September 4, 1940. He is preceded by his parents and his brother Michael Mace.
Soon after his birth his family moved to Venezuela and thus began his world travels to many different countries. In the middle of the Suez Canal Crisis, he had to leave Egypt and move to Houston, Texas where he met Kathryn, his loving wife of 57 years. He was an engineer and general manager at Stewart & Stevenson and completed his career at General Electric. He enjoyed his retirement in Brenham, TX.
Fred is remembered by family and friends as a generous man who had a great sense of humor and was loved by many. He made friends wherever he went. Fred will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
Fred is survived by his wife, Kathryn Mace, son Rick Mace and daughter, Christina Mace, Sister-in-Law, Charlene Davis, Daughter-in-Law Ann, Grandchildren Lila and Matt Mace.
