Jean Lois Pelcheck

Jean Lois (Schwab) Pelcheck, 96 of Cistern (Flatonia) TX, passed away on Monday Oct. 5th, 2026.

Jean was born March 18th, 1930, in Tamaqua, PA to the late Edward and Elizabeth Schwab, she was a homemaker who raised three children. She loved to pray the rosary almost every evening for her family. She enjoyed playing Farkle with family and friends. She also enjoyed her shopping trips with her daughter, going to Saturday Mass and then out to eat.

Jean was preceded in death, by her husband Joseph Pelcheck, son-in-law Wayne Alves and Grandson Joseph Pelcheck III.

She is survived by daughter Patricia (Patty) Alves and partner Lawrence Bordovsky, two sons: Joseph Pelcheck II and wife Margaret, and Steven Pelcheck. Three Grandchildren; Kera Champion (Steve), Kirsten Pelcheck (John), and David Pelcheck (Theressa). Great Grandchildren; Riley, Zackary, Jonathon, Carly, Joseph IV, Joy and James (w/Mother Tanya), Elliott and Caleb. Sister-in-law Maryann Yusella and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held at the Cistern Public Cemetery, with Father Samuel Owusu officiating on Saturday, Oct. 31st, 2026, at 11:00AM, reception immediately after service at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Parish Hall.

Family requests donations to be made to Gardenia Jansen Animal Shelter (LaGrange). Jean loved her animals.
