Merejiledo Manuel Perez

Manuel Merejiledo Perez, 84, of Flatonia, TX passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023.  He was born on April 13, 1939 to Juan and Julie Perez.

Manuel married Aurelia Rivera and they were blessed with nine children.  He is survived by his wife; 4 sons - Manuel and wife Cynthia Perez, Gilbert and wife Alicia Perez, Larry Sr. and wife Debbie Perez and Johnny Perez;  4 daughters – Julie Herrera, Angie Olvera, Rosie and husband Arthur Hernandez and Judy and husband Efrain Romero; 1 brother – Juan Perez; 2 sisters – Janie Rodriguez and Epolita Colegio; 25 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Manuel is preceded in death by his parents; brothers - Cruz, Mayo and Domingo; Sisters – Maria and Bertha; and son – Joseph Perez.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Perez, Chris Herrera, Eric Perez, Christian Olvera, Robert Perez and Alex Hernandez.  Honorary Pallbearer Johnny Perez.

A visitation for Manuel will be on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 starting at 2:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:30 PM at Smith Funeral Home in Flatoina, TX.

A funeral mass for Manuel will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flatonia, TX and burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Flatonia, TX.
