Samuel Ramirez was born on January 17, 1956 and was called home on January 3, 2023 at 66 years old. Samuel was born in Waelder, TX to Mary Dubose. He married Beatrice Perales on December 3rd, 1975
Samuel served the United States Marines Corps, 1st division, 7th Marines Regiment from 1976 to 1982. Samuel Ramirez is a Proud Marine
Samuel Ramirez found a career working in the construction industry as a painter and later a construction supervisor. In 2001 Samuel forged ahead with his own construction company, The Zerimar Corporation. For over 20 years he continued running a successful construction company in Houston TX. In his retirement he moved operations to his hometown of Waelder TX in 2022.
Samuel was an avid golfer and was part of the Mexican American Golf Association and The Players Club. He would attend the Waelder Livestock Show and give back to the community where he could. Samuel is serving as a city council member of his hometown of Waelder, TX. He volunteered during Hurricane Harvey in 2017 in Houston TX by assisting flood victims to safety.
Through all the moments of Samuels’s journey his devotion was to his ranch in Waelder, TX. Samuel spent his free time building on his land preparing it for Bea and his retirement until the day of his passing. He enjoyed fishing, raising cattle, loved his family, friends as well as strangers, and having a fine glass of wine.
Samuel was preceded in death by his Mother Mary Dubose and Sister Erlinda Martinez.
Samuel is survived by his wife, Beatrice Ramirez of Flatonia, TX, his two children, Kandice Ramirez of Houston TX, and Joseph Ramirez and wife Angelique Ramirez of Houston TX, as well as his granddaughters Brianna, Isabella and Aria Ramirez. Samuels brothers Rudy Martinez and Danny Vargas.

A visitation for Samuel will be Saturday, January 14th from 9:00-10:30 AM at Waelder First Baptist Church in Waelder, TX followed by a funeral service starting at 10:30 AM. Burial will be at Iglesia Bautista Memorial Cemetery in Waelder, TX. Fellowship to follow at Iglesia Bautista Annex.
