Survived by wife, Marie Eileen Westerfield, daughter, Angie Westerfield and fiancé Scott Eastty, nephew, Jason Fitch and wife Angela, grandsons, Brian Black and wife Brittlyn, Christopher Black and wife Marlee, Ash Marshall, Ty Marshall and wife Alyssa, Matt Gore and wife Misty, Clint Anderson and wife Carrie, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Fredrick was an AVID Drag Racer in his younger years. He loved fast cars and was an expert mechanic. He loved outdoor activities that included hunting, fishing, and working cows.
His career was primarily as a Production Manager of Combustion Safeguard Systems in the Oil and Gas Industry. After retirement he spent time remodeling several houses in the Texas Hill Country and traveling with his wife. Places included Yellowstone, Costa Rica, Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse, multiple places in the Caribbean, Key West and more.
If you knew him well, you knew what a proud Texan he was. He never wanted to live anywhere else. He flew the Texas and American flags every day. He loved his family and adored all his grandkids more than anything.
He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, perseverance, and a “get it done” attitude in all that were fortunate enough to know him.
A Memorial Service for Fredrick will be on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Smith Funeral Home, 128 East 5th Street, Flatonia, TX 78941, officiated by Jack Rothenflue and visitation will begin at 12:00 noon.
