Joyce (Steinhauser) Gold

On February 21, 2023, Joyce Elaine Gold, loving wife, mother and sister passed away peacefully in Cypress, Texas. Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence Gold of 56 years; her children, Jeff and Keith Gold; grandchildren Garret Gold, Conner Gold, Kempsey Gold, Kennedy Gold and Levi Gold; brothers, Lloyd Steinhauser and Ronnie Steinhauser. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Annie Steinhauser and Carol Null, her sister.

Joyce attended Flatonia High School and Bishop Forest High School where she was a twirler, a cheerleader and a basketball player. Joyce graduated from St. Thomas University in Houston with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She then went on to obtain her teaching certificate from the University of Texas. Joyce taught for three years at St. Rose. The end of her working years outside of the home, Joyce worked for Lawrence in his CPA practice for many years.

In her younger years you could have found Joyce in a bowling alley. She also enjoyed her times at the lake and was an avid reader. Movies were also one of her favorite past times. Joyce spent many a day on the ballfields watching her boys play football and baseball. She loved to keep notes of innings pitched and strikeouts which one could have found posted on the wall in her kitchen.

Memorial donations can be made in Joyce's name to the charity of one’s choice.
