Mary Bigley

October 16, 1930 — August 1, 2022

Mrs. Mary Beth Bigley, formerly of Flatonia and Elm Grove, passed away on August 1, 2022 at the age of 91.

Mary Beth Harrell was born October 16, 1930 to her parents, Edward Manton Harrell and Clifford Meneley Harrell. She was married to Milton Woodrow ("Mann") Bigley on March 26, 1949, and the family made their home in Flatonia and later in the community of Elm Grove. Mary Beth was a longtime member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church. For the last several years of her life, she was a resident of the Hallettsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Mary Beth was a devoted wife and mother. In addition to her household duties she would often help Mann and the boys when they drove to pastures where they had cattle to tend. She was always a cheerful addition to birthday parties and other family get-togethers, often bringing her much appreciated pineapple homemade ice cream.

She is survived by her sons, Gary Bigley and Jerry Bigley and was preceded in death by her husband, Milton, and her son, Randy.

Mrs. Bigley will be buried at the Colony Cemetery, with a graveside service on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in her name be made to the Hospice of South Texas.
